Automove use reputable contracted carriers to move vehicles around Australia. Automove endeavour to provide reliable, accurate information as provided by these carriers but cannot be held liable for the actions of these contracted carriers. This includes estimated transit time, vehicle damage, loss or damage to personal items left in vehicle and price & availability of car move.
Quotes are valid for 48 hours and subject to change or availability. Prices include GST, fuel and in most instances insurance (level of coverage varies depending on individual carrier terms and conditions).
Where the carrier provides loading & unloading insurance, transit insurance or any other type of insurance, any claims must be made directly to the transport carrier. In some cases an excess fee may be applicable. Further information on what insurance does and does not cover can be obtained from one of our customer service consultants. No carriers insurance covers weather damage or other forces of nature, disaster events, mechanical damage, fire or general wear & tear. For a complete cover and peace of mind compare quotes recommends you to get an extension coverage from your current insurer (you may find that you are already covered).
Along with Automove Terms & Conditions you are also bound by the individual carriers Terms & Conditions which can either be provided by Automove or directly from the Carrier.
All transit times given are an estimate only and cannot be guaranteed. They are based on business days. Delays can occur due to seasonal demand, acts of nature, truck availability and other unforeseen circumstances. Automove can offer advice but cannot be held accountable for any delayed vehicles.
For the majority of carriers, personal items are NOT to be left in vehicles, apart from a spare tyre, baby seat, car manual, jack set. Unless specified please do not leave personal items in the car, this includes CD’s, navigation systems, clothing, blankets etc. Transport of the vehicle may be refused if items are left inside.
If you have been specifically provided a quote with a carrier who does allow items in the vehicle, please ensure items are packed below the window line so as not to block out the windows; no items are to be left behind the driver’s seat on the floor so that the driver’s seat can be moved back and forth. No excessively heavy items allowed in vehicle, a 70kg limit may apply. No dangerous/flammable/organic items. If the carrier or driver of the truck deems the vehicle to contain items which are not allowed, the driver may refuse transport of the vehicle. Personal items left in the vehicle are left at the owner’s risk. These will not be covered by any vehicle transit insurance. Automove and Transport Carriers do not accept any responsibility for any missing or damaged items.
Unless dimensions have been provided, quotes given are for vehicles that do not exceed 1.9m in height, 5m in length or 1.9m in width, if larger, please provide dimensions in order to requote.
Unless a specified quote is issued (not available online), vehicles must be drivable, with working hand & foot brakes, steering and wheels, working battery, all windows, screen and body panels intact with no major body damage. Photos may be required of damaged vehicles before confirmation of transport can be given. Extra call-out charges and transport charges will apply for vehicles booked in as driveable but are not driveable when the carrier comes to pick it up.
Unless lowered ground clearance measurement is supplied, all quotes are for vehicles where the lowest point of the vehicle is no less than 15cm, if lower please provide height measurements for a requote.
Payment must be made at the time of booking and can be paid by bank deposit or credit card (Visa or Mastercard only). Payment cannot be made at the depot or upon collection of the vehicle. Carriers can not be part of sale of vehicle transactions.
A $20.00 booking fee applies for all bookings. A 50% cancellation fee applies to all booking cancellations. All booking cancellations must be in writing and up to two business days prior to original scheduled transport date, otherwise a full cancellation fee applies.
